Join Drogheda Creative Writers and Just Write Poetry Group to mark Winter Solstice.

As the sun rises on Dec 21st, 2025, it illuminates the the inner chamber at Newgrange prehistoric monument. Light triumphs over darkness, signalling the gradual return of longer days , and the promise of renewed life.

The spiritual theme for 2025, is a time of introspection. Letting go of outdated versions of self. Creating sacred stillness in our lives. Honouring grief, fatigue, or longing. Reignite a dream or soul vision that was tucked away. Being mindful how darker days can affect the human body.

Tying up loose ends, completing unfinished endeavours, elevate our awareness to a higher spiritual plane. Letting go of grudges, adopting forgiveness and tolerance . Striving to become the best version of ourselves.
