Working and Managing through Covid for People Managers - 5 Modules

Series for TCD People Managers only
- Participants are required to complete all 5 bite-size Modules in the Series [ 90 minutes each]
- Fee: a pre- paid fee of €65 to cover the administration cost for your DISC Workplace profile will be charged upfront when you register for this modular programme
Pre-course Work:
While not essential you are encouraged to complete module - specific online LinkedIn Learning in advance of each module.
Module 3 and 4 require the completion of pre-work questionnaires [c. 15 minutes each].
Module 5 requires you to work in session with your personal DISC Workplace profile. You will need to complete this psychometric profile in advance [c. 20 minutes]. In addition, you are required to complete a short listening skills questionnaire [c. 10 minutes].
Programme Overview
The role of the People Manager has taken on a new level of urgency and challenge as we continue to find effective ways to work in remote and hybrid environments.
The aim of this highly practical programme is to provide people managers with the skills for a remote world of work, in a time of uncertainty. You can apply these skills and techniques to support you in your own work and in managing and leading others. Participants must attend all modules in the series to complete the programme.
After completing this modular bite-size programme, you will feel confident you can:
- • Identify, understand and be equipped to adapt to the behaviour changes needed to work effectively in remote working environment
- • Communicate realistic expectations to staff and peers
- • Design effective work routines and schedules
- • Connect with resilience, optimism, resourcefulness and empathy

Module 5: Effective communication through the language of DISC (10 Dec 2020)
Understand the impact and behaviours and preferences in a remote world of work. How to understand other people and adapt for success.
Essential Pre- work:
This session includes a pre- course online psychometric. Participants will receive a detailed and tailored 20 – page profile report that supports their ongoing development and application of DISC post the Workshop session.
