MOVE.BREATHE.CONNECT

Working with the body and breath allows for deeper connection to oneself and others.

This workshop consists of three aspects: breathing techniques to alleviate stress and anxiety, gentle Hatha Yoga practice and prolonged guided relaxation. In Yogic terms Pranayama (Prana- life force or vital energy, Yama- to control) is a series of techniques using our breath to control and direct the energy throughout the body. Learning these simple techniques will enhance physical, mental and emotional health. Practised daily can bring an overall sense of emotional balance and stability.

Movement and working with the body will further stimulate the flow of energy and will help open up restricted spaces in the body. Using various techniques from Hatha Yoga, mindful movement and Yin Yoga we will work on finding more ease in the joints as well as stability through the body. This session will end with a prolonged guided relaxation allow body, mind and breath to integrate and arrive in a place of stillness and ease.

We will learn in a relaxing, comfortable and kind environment with maximum of 12 participants.
