Event description
The workshop will explore support and supervision and how it can benefit staff, the service and children.

About this Event

The Early Years Services Regulations (2016) requires managers to provide their staff teams with regular support and supervision and requires an active policy on support and supervision within the service. Siolta: The National Quality Framework for Early Education places a significant emphasis on support and supervision sessions with staff to enable professional development, promotion of children’s health and well-being and to have the ability to implement Aistear: The Early Years Curriculum Framework. The management and supervision of workers is an important part of child safeguarding, ensuring children attending the service are safe from harm.

So with all of this emphasis on support and supervision, Donegal County Childcare Committee have developed an introductory workshop on Staff Support and Supervision.

This workshop allows you to take some time to reflect on what support and supervision is and how it can benefit staff, the service and children. The workshop supports you in developing the skills needed as well as exploring how to deal with difficulties and provide appropriate feedback to staff.
