Description
Join ActionAid as we launch our Tax Power campaign with a special screening of the award-winning documentary The Price That We Pay for World Public Services day.
Unite Trade Union co-host the Irish première of the ground-breaking documentary, which blows the lid off of big-business tax avoidance, with multinationals depriving governments of tax revenue and people of essential public services and human rights.
The film screening will be followed by a panel discussion on the impacts multinational tax avoidance on human rights. Speakers include Nadia Harrison, International Tax Justice Campaigns and Policy Advisor , ActionAid International; John-Mark McCafferty, Head of Social Justice at Saint Vincent De Paul Ireland; and Unite trade union.
The event is part of a global week of action for #TaxJustice, with events taking place across the globe from the 16th – 23rd of June!
Tax justice could help improve our world for the better, so it’s time we demanded that multinationals pay their fair share in tax and help contribute to society!
