About this event

We are thankful to our home, Ireland, for sending 700 oxygen concentrators to India during these challenging times with the assistance of EU Civil Protection & Humanitarian Aid - ECHO.

Dear friends,

This is a modest attempt to help raise awareness around the initiative led by Sudheer Kamath and his friends to collect partly used or spare medical equipment to aid Indian hospitals during the ongoing outbreak of Covid19. The country's medical system has been severely stressed by the sudden influx of SIX figure number cases a day on average.

The team were able to source a ventilator locally and shipped it to India on April 30, 2021. As a result, they have had several inquiries from people who want to assist including me.

The team has decided to extend this drive and raise some funds to support the less fortunate. You may aid in several ways:

1. Financially by donating to their GoFundMe link here: https://www.gofundme.com/f/Fundraiser-to-Supply-Medical-Equipments-to-India

2. Supplying local hospitals in India with partly used/spare medical equipment such as ventilators, CPAP, respirators, or oxygen concentrators.

3. Help with logistics, as sending such equipment via courier companies is quite expensive; hence any assistance in this area would be highly appreciated.

The team has expressed their willingness to purchase medical equipment if needed. They have contacted suppliers and are attempting to secure competitive prices. Should you have any leads, please contact them.

Mission:

1. Make contact with private clinics and organisations to collect spare medical devices such as ventilators, CPAP machines, respirators, and oxygen concentrators.

2. Buy partly used surgical devices from auctioneers and on the open market.

3. Purchase new equipment if enough funds are raised.

On the ground, they have been in touch with citizens in need and non-governmental organisations, especially in rural areas. Funds and supplies would go straight to those that are in distress. *Administrative expenses would not be included.*

Please note: I am helping the team reach out to as many people across the spectrum so they may get connected with the right individuals and or someone in your network may need their help, hence PLEASE do not hesitate to contact us.

Lastly, I would like you all to attend our Zoom Bingo night on 12th May 2021; the event is completely free, however, you must register online. Let’s us come together as one community, show our solidarity, share our joy & pain with families & join us in prayer for the departed souls.
