Scottish Council on Global Affairs

The Scottish Council on Global Affairs (SCGA) is Scotland’s first all-Scotland international relations institute, providing a hub for collaborative, policy-relevant research and a home for informed, non-partisan debate on foreign, security and global affairs.

We bring together voices from the public, private and third sectors with civil society and academic expertise to encourage dialogue and share insight on issues of global importance. We host public lectures, panel discussions, roundtables, workshops and webinars—creating space for thoughtful conversation, practical ideas and new connections.

The SCGA works to forge new relationships and deepen existing ties with universities, policymakers and civil society across the UK, Europe and beyond—helping ensure Scotland is part of the wider debate, not just a spectator to it.
