ACRES Donegal

The Agri-Climate Rural Environment Scheme (‘ACRES’) was launched by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine in Autumn 2022. This latest scheme is part of Ireland’s CAP strategic plan and replaces the GLAS scheme. ACRES aims to deliver significant long-term environmental improvement through two approaches – ACRES Co-operation and ACRES General. The ACRES Donegal team is helping to deliver the Co-operation approach to farmers in defined high priority geographical areas in Co. Donegal. The Donegal Cooperation Project (CP) Team, assist agricultural advisors and participants with implementation of the scheme at a local level through advice and training.
