Anne Mangan Teen Career Development Coach & Mentor
Anne is a Career Development Coach & Mentor with a special interest in helping young people get off to a good start in their career journey. Anne has over 30-years’ experience in higher education - as tutor, programme director, educational developer and educational consultant.
Anne was a board member of the National Forum for the Enhancement of Teaching & Learning in Higher Education, and The Higher Education Colleges Association. Her primary focus has been on teaching & learning and on supporting tutors/lecturers transition from a teacher-centred to a student-centred approach.
Aware of the challenges facing young people as they transition into further/higher education and work, Anne turned her attention to supporting senior cycle secondary school students successfully transition into the next phase of their lives. She believes that without a strong sense of self, young people can struggle to stay on track, educationally and career-wise.
Anne holds a Masters in Clinical Education; Diplomas in Life and Career coaching; and Post Graduate Certificate in Career Development.
Her proudest moment was not overreacting when she learned at a parent/teacher meeting in October of leaving cert year that her 18-year-old son hadn’t been in school since before Easter.
