Cancer Trials Ireland
Cancer Trials Ireland (formerly ICORG) provides patients with cancer with access to potentially life altering cancer trials and at the same time seeks the answers to cancer.
Over the past 20 years it has developed a unique reservoir of scientific knowledge and expertise, and an attractive and effective research network for investigators, leading pharmaceutical companies and international collaborative groups.
This network includes six affiliated universities and 14 major hospital based cancer trials units (8 funded by the Health Research Board (HRB)), which together treat more than 20,000 new cases of cancer annually in Ireland.
During 2015, the network was working on 154 trials involving more than 6700 patients; 66 were recruiting patients and 88 were in the follow up stage.
