Biofeedback Ireland's primary practitioner is Dr Daren Drysdale (PhD, BCB, MBPsS)
He specializes in helping people manage:

- Depression: Depression. Both chronic and acute.
- Migraine: Chronic or episodic, with or without aura

- Headache: Tension based (Neck and Shoulder pain), Decompression headaches etc.

He's been working in the psychology field as a clinical psychophysiologist/biofeedback therapist for over 20 years and was born in Bray, Co Wicklow. He received his doctorate in psychology from Trinity College Dublin having previously completed a degree in psychology in California State University (1993) where he also completed the exams to become board certified by the Biofeedback Certificate International Alliance (he's now a senior fellow of the BCIA).
Prior to working and studying in the biofeedback area he also studied for a certificate in Applied Social Studies from DIT.
He's worked:
- In private practice for over 25 years
- As the clinical psychophysiologist and biofeedback therapist of an interdisciplinary team pain management programme in Santa Clara Valley Medical Center (SCVMC) [a teaching hospital for Stanford University]
- As a clinical psychophysiologist in the Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) department in SCVMC for over 10 years .
- As a lecturer for TCD, DCU, St Patrick’s (Drumcondra), California State University (CSU, Sonoma) and Oscail.
- As a consultant supplying group and individual services to clients and companies including Hewlett Packard, Siemens, Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, Rehab Outcome Therapy Clinics, Rehab One Clinics and Kaiser Permanente Hospitals.
- As a guest lecturer for Stanford University’s medical residency programme and the biofeedback preparation course for in St Vincent’s hospital.
- As a research assistant for the National University of Ireland (NUI) Maynooth working in the National Rehabilitation Hospital
- As a researcher for the Traumatic Brain Injury/Spinal Cord Injury grant and research project attached to Santa Clara Valley Medical Center
- As a residential social worker in a youth detention centre in Lusk, Co. Dublin (prior to becoming interested in clinical psychophysiology.)
He's board certified as a senior fellow of the
