Dundalk & District Brown Trout & Salmon Anglers Association

DDBTASA was formally founded in 1926 but its history pre-dates this and is one of the oldest fishing clubs in Ireland and has enjoyed a long history of angling in the North Louth/Monaghan area and is now recognised as one of the most progressive clubs in the country. Since its foundation the club has been stocking the waters of the region with trout (as can be seen from the pre World War 1 photo) and at one stage had its own hatcheries at Inniskeen on the river Fane and Toberona on the Castletown River.
