Society Toastmasters has been in existence since 1990 and is so named because it was founded by members of the Leinster Society of Chartered Accountants as an entity within the world-wide Toastmasters organisation.
Chartered Accountants Ireland has kindly hosted our club meetings twice a month at its headquarters for all of that time. By participating in club activities, members enhance their communication and leadership skills by following the structured Toastmasters’ educational programmes in pursuit of Toastmasters’ awards.
Members attain the awards of Competent Communicator, Advanced Communicator (Gold, Silver and Bronze), Advanced Leader (Silver and Bronze) and Distinguished Toastmaster by completing the speeches and tasks in the relevant manuals.Members also have the opportunity to compete with other Toastmasters nationally and internationally in what culminates in a oastmasters’ world championship of public speaking
