We are GEMS Berkeley! Growing Empowered Minds in Spanish (GEMS) is a non-profit supporting students who are African American learning Spanish in dual immersion academic systems. We want to provide language inclusion, equality and immersion to students who struggle with learning a second language and who hopes to continue to develop the language through high school.
