The Cosmik Debris Band
Based in Dublin (Ireland), The Cosmik Debris Band was founded by guitarist Mauro Angeletta and harmonica player Arthur Guillon in September 2017; the original full band line-up was completed with drummer Jacopo Sabbatucci and bassist Dmitri Retsja.
This line-up created the band logo and recorded the first EP A Walk Downtown in 2019.
Despite a promising start, this line-up didn’t last long as the rhythm section moved to different cities for personal reasons and the founding members kept working as a duo splitting their project in two sides:
An Acoustic Project blending originals and covers and a recording project based on originals only. As an acoustic duo, they played a few gigs in Dublin, joined the Stoneybatter Festival 2023 and played a few gigs in France and in the UK.
Their focus was always original music so they joined forces with Simone Invidia on bass and Fabio Chirizzi on drums (but also as a sound engineer, recording and mixing) and started a prolific remote recording project:
The last two EPs were recorded this way: Something Beautiful 2022 and A Beggar’s Smile 2023.
Over the last three years the band has worked to their first LP Record Tales From The Moon to be realesed in the summer of 2025. For this work another musician was added to the band personnel; Cristiano Trevisi gave his precious contribution on synths, sound design, mixing (together with Fabio Chirizzi) and mastering.
The Cosmik Debris Band is today a recording project with its members recording remotely from Ireland, Scotland, France and Italy.
The band’s focus is on creating original music. Though the geographical distance makes it hard, it’s still possible to see them perform their music live occasionally.
