Tonnta

Tonnta is a vocal ensemble and performance company creating immersive experiences of vocal music. Based in Dublin, Ireland and named after the Irish word for “waves”, Tonnta is designed to be a platform to make new waves in music.

Lead by vocalist and composer Robbie Blake, Tonnta works in a uniquely physical way bringing the body and voice together in performance. As producers of new work, Tonnta has collaborated with many artists to create and premiere over 40 works since 2012. With a view for performance across disciplines, Tonnta’s process involves collaborating with choreographers, theatre makers and visual artists as well as music-makers and composers.
