Union Hall Superstars committee

All roads will again lead to Union Hall this August bank holiday weekend for the 3rd running of the Union Hall Charity Super Stars, over the last 2 years we have raised over €16000 for various charities and this year we are running this fun, free, family event in aid of a great local charity the Friends of Skibbereen Hospital. As well as the main Super Stars event on Sunday, the first ever Battle of the Businesses will take place on Saturday afternoon in which businesses, clubs, organisations will battle it out in this fun event. (please see details below). We will have live music, full bar facilities, kids’ sports, big screen for GAA games over the weekend so it is sure to be a great event for all the family.We are asking all businesses to donate €200 to this great cause and as well as becoming a Gold sponsor of the event you will also be invited to enter up to 2 participants in the following.1. Union Hall Charity Super Stars (Sunday 4th)• This event is run as the Super Stars were run in the 1980’s.• Competitors will compete in heats of 6.• Competitors compete in up to 8 different disciplines for a prize fund of €2000• Events are soccer, basketball, obstacle course, box jumps,80M sprint, rowing,hanging tuff, and 800M run.• This event would need a participant of fairly good fitness• If you cannot find someone to participate, the organisers will enter a competentperson to represent your business2. Battle of the Businesses (Saturday Afternoon 3rd)• • • • ••Entry fee to €100 forThis FUN event and will be run in the Fittest Family format.Each team will consist of 3 membersEach team must consist of 1 over 35, one female & one U18 (no U15)Teams compete in an obstacle course and hanging tuff.Why not do it in fancy dress? in your company uniform, this would be a great bonding experience for businessRemember this is a FUN event no athletes of Olympic standard need apply. This event would need a participant of absolutely no fitness.Super Stars & Battle of the Businesses for sports clubs / not for profit organizations is 2 participants, individuals can also enter the Super Stars for €50 per person
