Transfer your attendees to other ticket types, events, or seats

You can transfer attendees to other events, ticket types, or seats. Make sure your event uses Eventbrite Payment Processing, the attendee paid with a debit or credit card, and you have enough funds in your event. To get started, go to “Orders” (under "Manage attendees"), find the attendee you want to transfer, and choose “Transfer attendee”.

<h2 id="01">1. Check this before you start.</h2> <p>To transfer attendees, you must meet the following requirements:</p> <p>☑️ Your event uses <a href="" target="_self">Eventbrite Payment Processing</a> and the attendee paid for the order online with a credit or debit card.</p> <p>☑️ You have enough money in your event. Click &quot;Add funds&quot; on the Event Dashboard if you were already paid out.</p> <p>☑️ The attendee&#39;s current event hasn&#39;t started yet.</p> <p>☑️ If transferring to a new event, the new event hasn&#39;t started yet.</p> <p>☑️ If transferring to a new ticket type, the minimum tickets per order is set to 1.</p> <p>☑️ The order isn&#39;t checked in.</p> <p>☑️ Your event isn&#39;t <a href="" target="_self">password-protected or invitation only</a>.</p> <p class="text-small l-pad-vert-2 l-pad-hor-2 card l-mar-top-2"><b>TIP:</b> If you want to give attendees the ability to transfer on their own tickets, follow <a href="" target="_self">these steps</a>. Self-service transfers are not available for reserved seating events.</p> <h2 id="02">2. Go to your Event Dashboard.</h2> <p>Go to “<a href="" target="_blank">Manage events</a>” in your account. Then select your event.</p> <h2 id="03">3. Go to &quot;Orders&quot; (under Manage Attendees).</h2> <h2 id="04">4. Find the order.</h2> <p>Scroll down until you see the attendee’s order. If you have a lot of orders, use the search field to find the order faster. You can search by order number, name, or email address.</p> <h2 id="05">5. Choose the attendee you would like to transfer and select “Transfer attendee”.</h2> <p>Select “Actions” in the dropdown next to the attendee you want to transfer. Then select “Transfer attendee”. You can only transfer one attendee at a time.</p> <h2 id="06">6. Select the new ticket type, event, or seat.</h2> <p>Follow the steps below.<br><br>If you are transferring to a new ticket type or seat on the same event:</p> <ol><li>Click “Change ticket”.</li><li>Select the new ticket type.</li><li>For reserved seating events, use the “Seating” option to pick a seat.</li><li>Click “Continue”.</li></ol> If you are transferring to a new event: <ol><li>Click “Change event”.</li><li>Select the new event.</li><li>Click “Continue”.</li><li>Select the new ticket type.</li><li>For reserved seating events, use the “Seating” option to pick a seat.</li><li>Click “Continue”.</li></ol> <h2 id="07">7. Delete any fees or price differences and select “Continue transfer”.</h2> Delete any charges or fees on this page before moving on. If you&#39;d like to have attendees pay the difference, <a href="" target="_self">turn on self-service transfers</a>. <p class="text-small l-pad-vert-2 l-pad-hor-2 card l-mar-top-2">TIP: If you transferred the attendee to a lower-priced ticket, you can <a href="" target="_blank">issue a refund for the difference</a>.</p> <h2 id="08">8. Double-check the registration information to make sure it is correct.</h2> <h2 id="09">9. Complete the transfer.</h2> <p>Select “Register”. Eventbrite sends a new confirmation email and ticket to the attendee. Their previous ticket will no longer be valid for the event.</p>
