Simon Coghlan qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist from the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa in 2000. He holds a Master of Science Degree in Physiotherapy and is a member of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists. A post graduate Diploma in Medical Acupuncture entitles him to accredited membership of the British Medical Acupuncture Society. Simon specialises in the integration of medical acupuncture techniques with manual therapy and therapeutic exercise for the treatment of musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction. As a clinical educator, Simon lectures at the UCD School of Physiotherapy in manual therapy, therapeutic exercise and medical acupuncture. He provides training in medical acupuncture to medical and allied health professionals in the UK and Ireland. He is co-owner of Mount Merrion Chartered Physiotherapists.
