Tipperary Festival 2024 has over 40 events across Tipperary from the 9th to the 16th of November

Tourism is one of the main drivers of the global economy, a complex system capable of influencing the natural and urban environments in which it operates, as well as the well-being and culture of host communities.In recent years, economic and environmental crises have triggered a profound transformation in the tourism system, revealing new needs and lacks to be able to support a real sustainable tourism; and potential markets focused on sustainability, such as wellness and nature-oriented tourism, and company welfare.However, tourism still needs improvements in the way it is organized and prepared to face challenges and adapt to change. To seize these opportunities and be able to answer contemporary challenges, tourism must embark on a radical innovation.TUS is a partner in WeNaTour, a three-year European initiative funded through the Erasmus+ program. It involves 12 partners from 5 countries, with a unique blend of backgrounds from academia, research centers, consultancy services and tourism operators. The project focuses on providing training and networking opportunities to shape the new professionals in sustainable tourism that will be able to find the innovative solutions for a sustainable and responsible tourism future. The project is also developing an Alliance of experts and innovators in Sustainable Tourism Destination Management, green care tourism, and corporate welfare.
