Lámh Module One Course Online 19th February 2025

Lámh is the manual sign system used by children and adults with intellectual disability and communication needs in Ireland. Lámh was originally developed in the early 1980s in order to have a unified, standardised, Irish-based approach to signing for those with intellectual disabilities and communication needs.

Module One Lámh Course is for those working with children and adults who use Lámh to enhance their communication.

This course is suitable for teachers, SNAs, social care workers, PAs and preschool staff and others, who work in mainstream and special schools, preschools, adult support services and other settings.The course is made up of:1: Three hours of self directed learning on our e-learning platform. You will have 2 weeks to complete this learning, starting on 5th February 2025.2: Three and a half hours with a Lámh tutor on Zoom on Wednesday, 19th February 2025 from 6pm to 9.30pm.You will learn about communication and how Lámh can support communication. You will learn 100 Lámh signs.Once you have bought your ticket, you will receive an email from Lámh with further information about accessing the e-learning platform and your live signing session.The total time for this course is 6.5 hours. Please note that where a refund is requested, Eventbrite platform fees will apply.
