Budding writers, take note! Join Chandrika Narayanan-Mohan for a workshop and discussion on building a sustainable writing career. Learn how to develop routines, structures, and support systems that suit your individual needs while navigating the challenges artists often face.This workshop won’t tell you to start writing daily at 5am.It won’t tell you how to make your fortune being a published poet.What it will do is offer an insight into how a writer can find routines, structures, supports, and strategies that suit their individual needs in order to pursue writing as a profession, acknowledging the many barriers that exist for artists.Delivered by former arts fundraiser and marketing manager and now full-time writer and consultant Chandrika Narayanan-Mohan, the sessions will include discussions, candid Q&A sessions and short exercises.Chandrika will be delivering the same session on three different dates: 22 April, 6 May and 20 May. The talk and the exercises will be the same each time, however the discussion part of the workshop will naturally vary with the different groups of attendees, so anyone is welcome to come for multiple sessions if they feel it would benefit them.Chandrika Narayanan-Mohan is Irish-Indian writer, performer, and cultural consultant, published by Dedalus Press, Banshee, Stinging Fly, Poetry Ireland, and others.
