Culture Date with Dublin 8

This annual neighbourhood festival celebrates the culture, history and heritage of Dublin 8 and encourages people who live in and visit the area to explore everything that Dublin 8 has to offer. The programme of events includes walks, talks and much more!

Who were some of Edward Cecil Guinness' neighbours?Learn about a jilted heiress and a young boy who became a famous English statesman. A gentleman whose half-brother was a notorious dictator and a newspaper tycoon who was once described “as the greatest man that ever walked down Fleet street.” An Englishman who was “honourably” mentioned in one of the Dubliners most popular songs and a religious order who gave music lessons to the Guinness children.The Culture Date with Dublin 8 programme launches on April 9th. Tickets will be available to book from 1pm on April 9th.
