Are Under 18s allowed to cycle on their own?

Accepted Answer

No, all people Under 18, must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to take part

Is the Cycle open to adapted or cargo bikes

Accepted Answer

Yes, the route is on road, and fully accessible to all bikes, so we welcome adapted and cargo cycles to take part

Question 3

Will the roads be closed to traffic?

Accepted Answer

No, the cycle takes place on live roads, so traffic will be present. An Garda Siochana will be supporting the Cycle and controlling junctions at key locations

Question 4

Is the Cycle suitable for Children on Balance Bikes?

Accepted Answer

No, the route is approximately 10kms so everyone taking part should either be able to cycle independently or travel on a bike with a parent/guardian

Question 5

Will Food and Drinks be available in Swords Castle for the Film?

Accepted Answer

No, there will be no food or drink available on site, so we encourage people to bring a blanket and picnic with them for the movie

Is alcohol allowed in Swords Castle?

Accepted Answer

No, this is a strict alcohol free event.

Can Families with smaller siblings unable to cycle attend the film only?

Accepted Answer

Yes, if your family has a small baby or someone unable to take part in the Cycle, please contact active.travel@fingal.ie and we'll arrange access to the Swords Castle for the Film.

Is there a return Cycle after the Film?

Accepted Answer

No, the guided cycle is one way from Portmarnock to Swords Castle.
