Tipperary,Finding a Voicepresents concerts of music spanning eras and genres,  in celebration of International Women’s Day, 8th March.AboutFounded in 2017 by sisters Róisín and Cliona Maher, over the past eight years Finding a Voice has featured music by hundreds of women composers, from Hildegard of Bingen to newly commissioned works, and performances from leading Irish and international musicians. Finding A Voice

Finding a Voice is a four-day concert series of music by women composers through the ages to celebrate International Women’s Day. 

EX-TEMPORE / IN THE MOMENTIn a first for Finding a Voice, tune in for some live improvised sounds from this exciting pairing of Irish-based Japanese pianist Izumi Kimura and virtuoso violinist Cora Venus Lunny. The Irish Examiner describes them as ‘one of the Irish scene’s most intriguing duos’ and ‘definitely ones to watch’ – not to be missed!Their 2021 album Folding, with field recordings by Anthony Kelly, is available now on Farpoint Recordings.Finding a VoiceFor the fourth edition of Finding a Voice in 2021, the concert series will again focus on the music of women composers through the ages, building and expanding on the first three highly successful series since 2018. The theme for 2021 is #ItsAboutTime and several concerts will focus on the notion of “time” in all its different iterations, from Fanny Mendelssohn-Hensel’s epic piano piece Das Jahr [The Year],to percussionist Alex Petcu’s exploration of time in relation to rhythm, tempo and duration.
