Do I need to register in advance?

Yes, registration is required to take part in the PedalPower Parade. Please register online before the event to help us plan for a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants.

What time should I arrive?

Staging begins at 10:45am at Eamonn Ceannt Park, Clogher Road entrance. The parade will set off at 11:00am, so please arrive on time to check in and get ready.

Can children take part?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Children can participate if they can cycle independently without balance bikes, stabilisers, or scooters. All under-18s must be accompanied by an adult. Younger children may join as passengers in bike seats or trailers with a parent or guardian.

Question 4

What kind of bike can I use?

Any roadworthy bike is welcome, including standard bikes, cargo bikes, e-bikes, or trikes. Just make sure it’s in good working condition before the event.

Is the route suitable for beginner cyclists?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the pace will be gentle and suitable for all ages and experience levels. The final Kiddie Kilometre is perfect for younger participants.

Who is responsible for safety?

Accepted Answer

Each participant is responsible for their own safety. Please follow the instructions of event marshals at all times. Dublin City Council is not responsible for any injuries or incidents during the event.

What should I wear?

Wear something comfortable and weather-appropriate—and feel free to go all out with this year’s Bees & Flowers theme! Costumes, colourful clothes, and decorations are welcome.

Do I need to wear a helmet?

Wearing a helmet is not mandatory, but it is strongly recommended for your safety.
