Considerations for local policy development

The aim of this training is to give professionals the knowledge and tools needed to support them in developing a local sexual health policy.Sexual health promotion encompasses a range of topics within the broad area of sexuality wellbeing.This includes but is not limited to relationships, sexual activity, gender, gender identity and sexual orientation.By the end of the training participants will have:<ul><li>An increased awareness of the rationale and benefits for policy and guideline development in sexual health</li><li>An understanding of the process required in planning to develop local policies and guidelines</li><li>An awareness of relevant legislation in an Irish context</li></ul>
