An in person event looking at how the lack of awareness of Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) impacts people during adulthood.

We are holding this event on International FASD Awareness Day (9th September) to celebrate people living with or suspected to be living with Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder.'Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) in Adulthood' will bring together Employers, HR representatives, third level educators interested in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and Neurodiversity, learn more about the condition with some simple accommodations that can be made to support people who live with FASD.Participants will also hear from people who live with FASD and their experiences of employment and the lack of awareness during their lifetime.The morning will celebrate the great achievements of people who live with FASD and provide them with the reassurance that participants who attend will leave informed.There will be an opportunity to listen to an panel of HR, Employers and people living with FASD, networking and to engage with colleagues who are committed to Disability and Inclusion priorities.Our thanks to GHR Consulting, Hotel Woodstock, Clare County Council &amp; Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Ireland for their support enabling us to host this event.We hope that by attending this event participants will understand more about FASD as a disability, become aware of the risks associated with consuming alcohol during preganancy and the health benefits to an alcohol free pregnancy.Eircode: V95 RR72
