Call for Research: The experience of policing in Ireland by diverse and minority communitiesIntroduction to the research topic and application processThe Policing Authority was established as an independent body to oversee the performance of the Garda Síochána in relation to policing services in Ireland. One of its key objectives is to promote trust and confidence in policing and to help shape policing services for Ireland in the future. To support this work, the Policing Authority will soon publish a call for research applications on ‘The experience of policing in Ireland by diverse and minority communities’. To support the publication on 8 July, the Authority will host an event to provide a brief introduction to the research topic, requirements and application timelines. This will include an opportunity for questions and answers. This event is open to all, but would be of particular interest to researchers, NGOs or grassroots organisations who may be interested in connecting with researchers to submit an application. To encourage collaboration in the context of the discussed research we would like to be able to circulate a list of attendees, with their contact details and research interests. If you would like to be included in this list, and for GDPR compliance, please ensure you select ‘yes’ to the relevant question while registering. This event will be recorded and made available on the Policing Authority YouTube channel following the event. The Q&amp;A session will not be recorded but all questions and answers will be documented and will be available.
