The Embassy of Portugal invites you to join in a celebration of Portuguese culture. We will be hosting a guitar concert by performers Ricardo Gama and João Correia, in honour of the celebrated musician Carlos Paredes’ Centenary Commemoration.This event will take place on 8th October, 6.30 pm, at The Sugar Club, 8 Leeson Street Lower, Saint Kevin's, Dublin 2, D02 ET97.All are most welcome, especially music enthusiasts and members of the Portuguese-speaking community.Pre-booking is required.

Ricardo Gama and João Correia met at the Santarém Conservatory, when the former was a teacher. Their shared taste and musical understanding led Ricardo Gama to invite João Correia to play the acoustic guitar for the soundtrack he was composing for the film “Eclipse in Portugal” (2013).The following year, Ricardo Gama as Artistic Director of the show “TROVAS &amp; SONGS, Actors, Poets and Singers”, staring Ruy de Carvalho, invites João Correia to perform with him once more. They shared the stage for the following five years in this project.The partnership between Ricardo Gama and João Correia was so successful that they launched a Guitar Duo project, releasing their debut album “A Vida, a Alma e a Viagem” (Life, Soul, and Journey) in 2016.
