A Museum for Gulliver – Our Story Concludes

Tallaght Community Arts is a participatory arts development organisation working in South Dublin County since 1996. We place participants at the centre  of a cultural process. Working in partnership with artists we open up the  transforming potential of the arts to culturally diverse participants  and audiences.  We present work in schools, community gardens,football  stadiums and individual people’s homes as well as in designated arts spaces.

Tallaght Community Arts presents A Museum for Gulliver - Our Story Concludes, inspired by Jonathan Swift’s Gulliver’s Travels

Pearse Museum

A Museum for Gulliver, Our Story Concludes – is a site-specific participatory experience for families and children in the Walled Garden of OPW/Pearse Museum, St Enda’s Park Rathfarnham. Inspired by Jonathan Swift’s Gulliver’s Travels the project creates a fictional Lilliputian museum.Children and young people have worked with artists as co-creators of the fictional museum through visual arts, song, spoken word and story-telling. Presented to an invited booked audience the event will feature: •	Giant Maps•	A ‘historical film’ screened enactment of the famous ‘pointed and round eggs debate’•	A giant telescope in the museum’s walled garden•	A new composition The Ballad of Gulliver with choir and musicians •	Illuminated Lilliputian city of Mildendo•	Photo Booth for visitorsA Tallaght Community Arts production in collaboration with Alt Ents, SubSounds and Music Generation South Dublin kindly supported by Creative Ireland South Dublin, OPW/Pearse Museum, South Dublin County Arts Office and Arts Council of Ireland.
