Kildonan Aerodrome in Finglas in the late 1920s and 1930s was a wonderful place where Irish people discovered the joy of flying. John Haughton has researched this place and time for his book The Silver Lining. In his talk, he will bring artefacts of these early days of aviation in Ireland and tell us the fascinating stories of the people who flew from Kildonan, including Lady Heath.
