Céad Míle Fáilte- Introducing the Irish Language to our New Communities in the Limerick area23rd October 2025 13:00- 14:00Venue: Clayton Hotel LimerickFacilitator: Seán Ó MurchadhaCéad Míle fáilte is a project that has as its aim to promote inclusion by introducing our New Communities to the Irish Language.Fáilte means Welcome and this project aims to show New Communities that Irish culture is an open culture welcoming to everyone who lives here.It also sends a message to wider society that the Irish language is not the property of any one section of our community nor those being Irish depend on how long your family has lived on the island. Céad Míle Fáilte includes:- An awareness workshop on aspects of the Irish language: placenames and surnames etc- Classes in basic Irish for members of our New Communities Any queries: email ppn@limerick.ie
