When Tokyo meets the Gaeltacht

Join us for a superb evening with Pinch of Snuff. Japan’s finest practitioners of Irish traditional music, cultural exchange and appreciation at its finest. Formed in Tokyo, the band brings together long standing musicians who fell in love with the reels, jigs and airs of Ireland. Inspired by The Pogues and The Dubliners. The bands front man Masakazu also known as Tiger refers to the famous céilí scene in the movie ‘Titanic’ as his first introduction to traditional Irish music.

Meet the band, comprised of Masakazu Tottori (guitar and vocals), Hironobu Sasanuma (double bass), Harumi Endo (fiddle), Haruna Okano (accordion), Takaaki Sone (drums), Yuta Tsukahara (tin whistle), Kazuma Fujita (banjo) and Kohei Sato (uilleann pipes and bodhran).

The band burst onto the Irish scene in March 2025 with a sold out tour, becoming a viral sensation. Wowing Irish audiences with their amazing live performances. The band also hit the streets of Dublin and Galway showcasing their lively busking sessions.

Whether you’re a lifelong fan of Irish trad or new to the scene. Don’t miss this rare chance to witness a musical bridge built across continents, Tokyo × Irish trad. Live and unforgettable.
