Workshop: Traditional music from Dingle
Workshop for all traditional instrumentalists exploring traditional music and repertoire from Dingle, led by Dr Aoife Granville.
As part of the 4th annual Féile Fearann Rí, we're delighted to be hosting a traditional music workshop featuring the musical traditions of Dingle (Daingean Uí Chúis). This is a mixed instrument workshop led by Dr Aoife Granville from 2–3pm in Hollyhill Library. This practical and engaging session will explore the rich musical traditions of the Dingle peninsula, with a focus on repertoire, style and cultural context. The workshop is open to all traditional instrumentalists, and is best suited to intermediate players with a couple of years’ experience. Tickets are free, but booking is essential.
