A gentle, beginner-friendly somatic yoga session for survivors of domestic abuse & sexual violence

Join Niamh Barry and fellow survivors of domestic abuse and sexual violence for a gentle, beginner-friendly somatic yoga session designed to help you reconnect with your body in a safe and supportive environment. Through slow, mindful movement and breath, this session focuses on grounding, nervous system regulation, and rebuilding a sense of inner strength and stability.

No prior yoga experience is needed - this is a soft, welcoming space to move at your own pace.


What to expect:

✨ Meet & greet facilitated by Beyond Surviving | 20 mins

Welcome and gentle grounding: A short arrival practice to help everyone settle and feel safe in the space | 10 min

✨ Somatic breath and body awareness : Simple breath and awareness practices to reconnect with the body gently | 10 min

✨ Slow, beginner-friendly yoga flow: Gentle, accessible movements focused on grounding, stability, and inner strength | 30 min

✨ Rest and guided relaxation: A supported rest to allow the body and mind to integrate the practice | 10 min

✨ Connection & chats facilitated by Beyond Surviving | 20 mins
