A gentle, hands-on collage workshop to explore self-expression for survivors of domestic abuse & sexual violence

Join Niamh Barry and fellow survivors of domestic abuse and sexual violence for a gentle, hands-on collage workshop where you’ll explore self-expression through images, colours, and simple creative prompts. Using magazines, textures, and intuitive composition, participants are invited to create personal collages that reflect themes of strength, resilience, and inner connection.

No artistic experience is needed - session offers a calm, supportive space to reflect, create, and connect with others at your own pace.


What to expect:

✨ Meet & greet facilitated by Beyond Surviving | 20 mins

Welcome and gentle grounding: A short arrival practice to help everyone settle and feel comfortable in the space | 10 min

✨ Introduction to collage and symbolic imagery : A simple, accessible explanation of how images, colours, and symbols can support reflection and healing | 10 min

✨ Guided collage-making time: Participants create their own intuitive collage using magazines and materials, with gentle prompts focused on strength, resilience, and personal expression | 40 min

✨ Quiet reflection and optional sharing: A gentle closing with space to reflect on the creative process. Sharing is always optional | 15 min

✨ Connection & chats facilitated by Beyond Surviving | 10 mins
