Guided Water Quality Workshop in Dublin Mountains
Join us for an inspiring free guided workshop in the beautiful Dublin Mountains! Get ready to learn about mountain rivers, enjoy fresh air, stunning views and great company.
South Dublin County Council, the Dublin Mountains Partnership, Coillte, LAWPRO and Inland Fisheries Ireland are collaborating for this event as part of Dublin Climate Action Week.
Experts from Local Authority Waters Programme (LAWPRO) and Inland Fisheries Ireland (IFI), DCU and Coillte will take us through the natural beauty and the ecosystem services provided by the local water catchments up in the Dublin Mountains. Help sample local water quality, discern findings and learn about the role these water systems play in helping to reduce flood risks downstream in Dublin. A short guided walk is included around the river catchment area, to learn more about the local biodiversity.
A light lunch will be provided for attendees. To make the event more sustainable and accessible, a free bus will run from The Square in Tallaght at 11AM (meet at 10:45AM at Rua Red Café and walk a short distance to bus), returning from Cruagh to be back in Tallaght by 2PM.
