Overview

AISTEAR: The reflective cycle of planning and assessing

Facilitated by Brenda Lattimore early years educator, manager, & part-time lecturer on the Bachelor of Early Childhood Education ( DCU )

This workshop will present an overview of the everyday cycle of Noticing, Nurturing, Responding, and Reflecting. We will explore how these four elements connect to help us stay tuned in to children’s emerging interests. The session is designed to be a space to discuss how to use the Aistear framework to guide your interactions and ensure that planning follows the child’s lead.

Brenda Lattimore is an experienced EYE, currently working as a mentor and consultant, supporting educators and primary teachers to enhance pedagogical practice.
Her key interests include innovative teaching approaches, the environment as the third teacher, Inquiry-Based Learning, and the use of documentation and learning journals to enrich children’s experiences.

Limted places available and only 1-2 people allowed per service.
