This Is Your River Screening and Nature On Our Waterways Photography Exhibition – SDCC Climate Action Week

SDCC and LAWPRO would like you to join us for a screening of This Is Your River on Wednesday the 13th of May from 6.15pm in Tallaght Library to celebrate Dublin Climate Action Week.

Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided on arrival, and you can stroll through the Nature on our Waterways photography exhibition, before and after the screening, which showcases the natural beauty of South Dublin waterways.

The screening will be followed by a Q&A with members of Dodder Action


ABOUT THE FILM

This Is Your River is a film commissioned by Dodder Action about the history and biodiversity of the River Dodder. It is directed by Green Foundation Ireland’s (GFI) Communications Manager John Gormley, scripted by Victoria White from Dodder Action, funded by LAWPRO through Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage funds and features broadcaster and environmentalist Duncan Stweart who is Patron of GFI.

ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION

Local photographers celebrate the natural beauty of South Dublin waterways including photos from the Dodder River. The exhibition will be available to visit throughout Climate Action Week, from Monday the 11th of May until Saturday the 16th in Tallaght Library (Library hours).

Tallaght Library, Parthalán Place, Tallaght, Dublin D24 TNP8

There is limited parking at SDCC and paid parking at the Square. The venue is also easily reached via public transport Luas and Dublin Bus and well serviced with cycle lanes.


ABOUT DODDER ACTION

Dodder Action is an umbrella group of volunteers who want to maximise the potential of the River Dodder as an amenity for the people of Dublin and protect the water quality of the river as well as the variety of life in and surrounding the river!
