Can I bring my dog?

Yes, furry friends are welcome but only under the condition that they are well behaved and kept on a short leash at all times. If any of the participants will report an allergy, I might ask to leave the pet at home.

How do connect with event participant afterwards?

Accepted Answer

Swap contacts during the event! Other options:1.  WhatsApp group  - a private group for present participants only. Join during the event. 2. Connect with others up to 24 hours after the event ends.  3. I am happy to privately follow up for you if won't have a chance to swap numbers on the day.

What is the dress code?

Accepted Answer

There is no dress code. Wear something comfortable and weatherproof. A moody weather is not unusual in Ireland. A hat & scarf and a pair of gloves are strongly advised.

How long is the walk?

Accepted Answer

The walk is approximately 5-6 kilometres on mixed surfaces, including tarmac paths and sandy beach. Please wear appropriate footwear.

What if the weather is not great?

Accepted Answer

The event will go ahead in any weather conditions. It will be cancelled with a full refund if there is an official weather warning in place.

I am around 40. What age group to chose?

Accepted Answer

If you are around 40, feel free to choose the age group you are more interested in meeting people from. I would kindly ask that you don’t stretch this flexibility too much, as people in each group will have certain expectations about the other participants as well.

How to get there?

Accepted Answer

The meeting point is 5-7 min walk from the Wooden Bridge, Clontarf, D03. It is easily accessible by public transport (Dublin Bus 130 departing from Talbot Street) and it offers ample parking. The exact meeting point will be sent a day before the walk to the email address used for ticket booking.

Do I need to bring a torch?

Ideally, the moon will provide the best lightning but if you wish, a small torch might be handy.
