Join Clean Coasts and Balbriggan Tidy Towns to explore the seashore to see the amazing life we can find.

Balbriggan Beach

Join Clean Coasts and Balbriggan Tidy Towns for a seashore explore and an introduction to the Explore Your Shore! citizen science programme. We will explore the beach looking for signs of life such as starfish, crabs, limpets, snails, razor clams, talk about them and use identification resources to identify them.While looking for these cool critters, it’s impossible not to notice litter on the beach. We will carry out a 2 Minute Beach Clean at the end of our session to leave the beach cleaner than we found it! We will bring some seashore ID resources to be used on the day but if you have any of your own, please bring these along with you too!Please dress for the weather and wear appropriate footwear as we will be outdoors for the duration of the event. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult. Our meeting location will be at the Balbriggan Tidy Towns hut near to the swimming changing area on the beach.
