Join Inishowen Rivers Trust for a practical Kick Sampling Training Day on the Bredagh River.
Kick sampling is a simple but effective method used to assess the ecological health of rivers and streams by collecting and identifying freshwater invertebrates.
During this training you will learn:
- How to safely carry out kick sampling
- How to collect freshwater invertebrates
- How to identify key indicator species
- What these species tell us about water quality
- How kick sampling supports river conservation and monitoring
This is a practical, hands-on course suitable for anyone with an interest in nature, rivers or biodiversity. No previous experience is required. All participants will recieve a certificate from The Riverfly Partnership on completion of the event.
