Grow It Yourself & Garden Allotments
Join us for a Lunch & Learn where we'll learn all about garden allotments and tips & tricks for growing vegetables yourself.
About this event
To celebrate SDG Week, join South Dublin County Council for a special Lunch & Learn to learn how to grow vegetables!
What to Expect:
A practical talk from an experienced gardener from the South Dublin Allotments Association.
Examples of plants, pots, seeds and soil will be used during this hands on demonstration.
The talk will cover an introduction to the garden allotments programme along with practical advice on growing vegetables, whether that be in gardens, raised beds, balconies or windowsills.
Any questions you might have on how to begin your journey will be answered or for the more seasoned gardener, if you have specific questions, please do come along to ask and learn more.
As part of Sustainable Development Goals Week (SDG Week), this session highlights practical ways to embrace the circular economy by growing locally.
Discover how everyday changes can lead to a more climate-resilient future while growing your own food at home.
Free Lunch: We'll be providing a delicious, free lunch for all attendees. It's the perfect opportunity to learn, network and fuel your day.
The event will be held in the County Hall Foyer D24 A3XC —a central and accessible location.
Don't miss this chance to learn, connect and make a difference. We look forward to seeing you there!
This is a free event, but registration is essential for catering purposes.
