Join us at our August clothes swap event where we will gather to swap pre-loved items in exchange for another wardrobe piece.

River Valley Community Centre

We will start at 11-1pm hopefully outside the river valley community centre (in a gazebo) if the weather is on our side! If not we will be upstairs in bar of the community centre as usual. We will include our repair corner where local community menders will offer repair tricks and techniques such as DIY scrunchies from scrap fabric, fixing minor repairs, and hand sewing (we have a sewing machine on site) Also feel free to bring your own! Items not accepted for swapping: pyjamas, underwear, heavily stained items, swimming suits Please bring clean ito the swap and remember to take some things home as this is about the circular economy and keeping clothes redistributed in the community and out of landfill ♻️We will have tea and coffee on site and some snacks to share. Suitable for all ages as we have some children's clothes! We really need some more men's clothes so if you can bring some that would be fantastic to grow our men's corner! If you want to help us set up please arrive outside centre at 10am. We always welcome an extra hand with set up or close down at 1-2pm. Thanks so much! There is free parking outside the centre but full (as it is a busy club) there is parking across the road on the green, or at ALDI. The 102, 41c and 500 alo stop outside the centre (2 minute walk).
