“Access: Beyond Pathways” is a mix of performance poetry and communal dialogue.
“Access: Beyond Pathways” is a mix of performance poetry and a brief discussion on the theme with the shortlisted poets. The segment will finish with a collaborative exercise between the performers and the audience, becoming a short anecdotal draft – a co-created piece of poetry that comes into existence because our access to create it was permitted. The first half of the evening comprises of a number of invited performers share their poetry on the topic of access. During the second half, we will include an open-mic portion. As the core of Rough Draft is to foster communal dialogue through shared reflections, we will close on a short 15-minute segment which will weave in together, the performances and conversation that aligns well with the wider community Rua Red is bringing together.
