A comedy chilean film about food and culture at ISLA Festival
We close this 15th edition of ISLA with the screening of a Chilean comedy, presented in a mockumentary style, whose story reflects local culture and the Chilean idiosyncrasy through the defense of its iconic local product: longaniza (sausage).
Dir. Tomás Alzamora, 2024, 86 min
O.V. with English subt.
Synopsis: After unjustly losing the title of the best longaniza in Chile, a social movement arises in the small town of San Carlos, seeking to obtain official designation of origin status in competition with the neighbouring city of Chillán.
Organised by Instituto Cervantes and the Embassy of Chile.
With the support of Dublin UNESCO City of Literature-Dublin City Council and RTE Supporting the Arts.
