O’Flaherty Stone, is an 8th generation family run company of stonemasons located in Ballyknockan - better known as “The Granite Village”. In 2 day immersive Stone Carving Workshop you will learn traditional granite carving techniques in the picteresque village of Ballyknockan that is nestled at the bottom of the Wicklow Mountains & overls Blessington Lake.

What You Will Learn:

Under the guidance of skilled stonemasons, you’ll develop real stone carving skills including:

• Tool handling and carving safety
• Sketching and layout drawing for sculpture
• Shaping, detailing, texturing & finishing techniques with local Ballyknockan granite
• Traditional polishing to bring your carved piece to life

What you will take away :
Each attendee will be given a block of Ballyknockan granite aproximately 12 in x 12 x to chisel the design of their choice.
