Two iconic houses of great taste will create the perfect blend this November when The K Club hosts a very special Laurent Perrier Champagne Dinner in its signature Barton Grill restaurant. The event on Friday 6th November, pairs a sumptuous five-course menu with some of the historic Champagne house’s finest vintages.

Perfect pairings carefully curated by Executive Chef Gary O’Hanlon and Chief Sommelier Lisa O’Doherty will include: a starter of Trout Tartare Tartlet with dill, horseradish, pickled cucumber and trout roe accompanied by the fresh elegance of Laurent Perrier La Cuvée Brut. Truffled Wild Mushroom & Spinach Soup with Cappuccino bubbles perfectly complemented by the Lauren Perrier ‘Héritage’ Brut – a unique Champagne made exclusively from reserve wines. And the Bing Cherry & Frangipane Tart which will round off the sensational meal hand-in-hand with the unmistakable fresh berry aromas and crisp acidity of the Laurent Perrier Cuvée Rosé.

The effervescent evening set in the 550-acre Kildare estate will begin at 7.00pm with an elegant drinks reception in The Garden Room before seamlessly transitioning to the sophisticated surrounds of Barton Grill for dinner.

The resort’s multi award-winning Chief Sommelier, Lisa O’Doherty, will take guests through each of the five pairings as the meal progresses. Among her many accolades, Lisa won The Golden Magnum at the prestigious Champagne Academy in Reims, France in 2017 – only the second Irish person to do so in 62 years – so it’s safe to say she knows her bubbles.

The very limited number of tickets for The K Club’s Champagne Dinner are now available for €190 per person or give the evening some extra sparkle with an overnight stay in The K Club’s luxury accommodation, delicious breakfast the next morning, and enjoyment of all the five star facilities on offer.
