Question 1

Who is the day for?

Accepted Answer

Regeneration project professionals, their project sponsors, Pro Bono Lab and community partners, and a small number of invited guests.

Question 2

How do I attend?

Accepted Answer

Places are limited and by invitation. Have a code? Enter it in the promo code box to see your options. No code? Choose Request an invitation and we will email you if a place is available. Confirmed guests receive the meeting point and details by email.

Question 3

Is there a charge to attend?

Accepted Answer

There is no charge. A light lunch with tea or coffee is provided.

Question 4

Do I have to join the morning walk?

Accepted Answer

No. You can choose the morning walk only, lunch and the showcase only, or the full day. The walk is recommended because the Climate Hackathon briefing refers to it. Anyone who joins the walk does so at their own risk and looks after their own safety.

Question 5

What is the Climate Hackathon?

Accepted Answer

A planning exercise based on one real community issue, in this case the Bray to Greystones walk. Teams research the issue, consult the people affected and prepare a plan. The briefing at the Showcase introduces it, and the planning work follows in the new year.

Question 6

Will there be another Showcase?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A second Project Showcase is planned for late January 2027, with a wider audience and delivered Pro Bono Lab projects.

Question 7

How do I get to Common Ground Bray?

Accepted Answer

Take the DART to Bray, or a local or regional bus to the town centre, then walk a short distance to Church Terrace. Buses also run to Bray seafront. The venue has level access and no parking. The nearest is the local church car park. See the TFI Journey Planner.

Question 8

What is the walk like, and what food is provided?

Accepted Answer

The route follows the seafront and is flat, with one gentle climb. Wear comfortable shoes, bring a jacket and a refillable water bottle. A locally sourced light lunch is served at 13:00. In bad weather the route is shortened and lunch moves earlier.

Question 9

What is Leading Projects in Chaos?

Accepted Answer

Rhealyn Mugri's first book, published by Regeneration. It is launched at the Showcase and is written for people who lead projects without formal authority.

Question 10

Will there be photography?

Accepted Answer

We may take candid photos at the event for use on our social media and website. By attending, you agree to this. If you prefer not to appear in photos, please tell a member of the team on the day.

Question 11

Can my charity or social enterprise take part?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Regeneration's Pro Bono Lab pairs project professionals with charities and social enterprises. If your organisation has a project that needs support, email info@regeneration.ie.
